National Library’s Literacy and Learning Directorate sits within the Information and Knowledge Services branch, the Department’s epicentre of information management, culture and heritage.
We are seeking an outstanding person for the key position of Online Content Services and Rauemi Developer – Te Ao Māori, within the Services to Schools team at a time of dynamic opportunity and change.
The purpose of this role is to strengthen our commitment to Māori learners to provide services that support the equitable access to library services and resources.
You will to work with our Poutiaki Rauemi and the Online Team to develop, curate, and create online learning resources in Te Reo from a Te Ao Māori perspective. This key position will play a role in development of effective rauemi to support Māori education based on the priorities and expectations of customers and key stakeholders from the education, library, and culture and heritage sectors.
The Online Content Services and Rauemi Developer – Te Ao Māori position will contribute knowledge, expertise and leadership in the development of rauemi and the environment in which they are presented to support Māori learners.
This role focuses on supporting Māori learners through partnerships with kura and communities, and collaboration across agencies including with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the culture and heritage sector to achieve greater reach and impact of our services and resources.
The purpose of the Online Content Services and Rauemi Developer – Te Ao Māori is to:
- improve outcomes for Māori ākonga to achieve as Māori
- ensure ākonga and kaiako are able to access rauemi ā-ipurangi presented within a Te Ao Māori worldview
- Non-Māori ākonga and kaiako learn more about Te Ao Māori and mātauranga Māori to enhance pathways for teaching and learning
