Type: Fixed Term - until 30 June 2021
Hours: Full time
Branch: Central/Local Government Partnerships
Interested in working in a fast paced and high performing team grappling with large and complex problems in the local government sector? If you have strong financial/commercial sector expertise and are keen to apply these in a policy and local government world then this is the role for you!
With local and central government agreeing to work on a large transformation programme of the three waters sector (drinking water, waste water, storm water), we are expanding our Three Waters Policy Team to add a Senior Policy Analyst with a specific focus on financial/commercial structuring and advice. It is a fixed term role until 30 June 2021, based in Auckland.
It is fast paced work with complex and difficult issues, tight timeframes and high expectations from Ministers and local government – no pressure! The ability to hit deadlines while remaining chilled and having a laugh is essential.
The Three Waters Policy Team works alongside our Central - Local Government Partnerships Group (CLGP) in the Department of Internal Affairs and this work feeds into wider work on the local government funding and financing system including infrastructure.
The team and CLGPs point of difference is the quality of our work and how we work. Partnerships are front and centre, so you will be working closely with numerous Councils, financial and commercial institutions, and across several central government agencies, including: Treasury, MBIE, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and the Ministry for the Environment.
We are looking for a special person to join a great team so if interested, drop by or give us a ring and let’s have a chat.
